Teacher bio
Maria is a professional IT geek and moonlighting craft nerd. As a child she would earn pocket money by embroidering and beading the wedding dresses and costumes made by her mother’s award winning dressmaking business. She was started on her fiber arts journey by her grandfather who taught her to knit a simple scarf at 8 years old, but it was when she picked up her first crochet hook 9 years ago when she truly got ‘hooked’ on yarn! Since then she has grown a passion for making retro inspired garments, accessories and homewares, and encouraging new crafters how to knit and crochet. She is known as @moonlightingmakes on Instagram and @uvulagirl on Ravelry
