Intro to Fair Isle with Dear Pru
Begin your love affair with Stranded Colourwork Knitting.
This workshop is designed by Pru Raymond as an introduction to this popular colourwork technique also known as Fair Isle. Learn to read charts, select colours and tension yarns in one and two hands. Leave with confidence to cast on your first Fair Isle project.
Pre-requisite skills: not suitable for beginners
Materials Required
• 4 mm circular needle 80cm needles
• Main Colour (MC): 50g 8ply/ DK (100% wool; approx 230m per 100g) white/ light colour
• Contrast Colour (CC): 50 g 8ply/ DK (100% wool; approx 230m per 100g) medium/dark colour
Our store will be open 15 minutes before class commences to purchase materials and wind yarn into a cake as required. Instruction booklets will be provided. Pens, scissors and any other tools needed will be available to borrow.
Their will be no entry to the class after the first 10 minutes
Tea and Coffee will be provided .
All class attendees with receive a 10% discount on all in-store purchases* on the day. This is also extended to any class materials purchased in advance.
