Single Pattern – Tikki Knits – Milo Bambino

A teenier version of the quintessential children’s vest pattern, Milo. This 4ply/fingering weight version is perfect for warmer weather and tinier babies – including premmies. It maintains the same style and look as the original Milo; a simple, seamless vest knit in the round from the top down. 

Gauge: 28 stitches and 36 rounds over 4 inches in stocking stitch and 28 stitches and 52 rounds over 4 inches in garter stitch.

Finished Measurements: Chest: 12½/31.5 (13½/34.5, 14½/37, 15½/39.5, 16½/42) [17½/44.5, 18½/47, 19½/49.5] inches/cms.

Materials Used: 110/100 (130/120, 150/140, 170/155, 200/185) [230/210, 260/240, 300/275] yards/metres of fingering/4ply weight yarn.

Needle Size: US3/3.25mm circular needle (your preferred method for small circumference knitting)

Other Details: Size range aims to cover the first year of life. An option for a buttoned shoulder strap to cater for IV lines and tubing is included for the premmie and newborn sizes. Sized to fit chest measurement 12 to 19 inches/30.5 to 48cms. Size range first approximately premmie (34 weeks gestation) to one year.
